Kathi Kaiser to Speak on Conducting Museum Research

Centralis Co-Founder Kathi Kaiser will be presenting a talk entitled “When to Ask and When to Shut Up: How to Get Visitor Feedback on Digital Interactives at the Museum Computer Network 2016 Conference in New Orleans, LA. The talk will be held at 1:45 pm CT on Wednesday, November 2.

Kathi will discuss how critical it is to talk to museum visitors about their experiences, and will offer observational and interviewing techniques that allow you to go beyond what visitors say to reveal what they actually know, how they think, and what they need. Using real-life examples from museums and other cultural institutions, Kathi will highlight common sources of frustration in digital experiences, such as lack of clarity about purpose, difficulty navigating available options, ambiguous language, and challenges with gestural interfaces.

Come join Kathi for what is sure to be a fun and informative session!
