Elizabeth Allen to speak at UXPA 2014 Conference
We may not think about it much, but color has an enormous impact on user experience. Beyond the issues of contrast, clarity, and simple usability, there are attention, interpretation, and in some cases, even emotion. And while UX people may be familiar with how color can be used, we may not have a deep, scientific foundation for our choices... we might choose a color simply because we think it "should" work.
With those ideas in mind, Elizabeth Allen will be presenting "Red Herrings: Debunking the Pop Psychology of Color" at the UXPA 2014 Conference. In this talk, Elizabeth will share some fascinating research on color perception and improving accessibility for people with color perception problems. She will also discuss strategies to help you improve your color choices.
Registration for the UXPA 2014 Conference, taking place in London from July 21-24, is open!
