Bring your ideas and concepts to life.
Prototyping allows you to try out digital design concepts without going to the trouble and expense of developing them in code. We prototype everything from small-scale design tweaks to complex new services and products. When paired with user research, prototyping ensures that we are on the right track and gives you the confidence to proceed with your design and development process. No matter what you're building, we will illustrate solutions that work for your users and your business.
We help answer questions like:
Does our new design work for our customers?
How can we integrate a new product into our existing suite?
Is our idea feasible and worth pursuing?
What is the most efficient design for this process?
What would it look like if we changed how we do this?
How can we illustrate our vision to get buy-in from management?
What can I expect from prototyping with Centralis?
We will understand your vision, give it digital form, and ensure that it meets users’ needs.
Stakeholder Interviews
We interview your team to gain insights that help us understand the problem space and incorporate your needs and desires into our design process.
Interactive Illustration
We use the right tools for the job to create anything from paper sketches to fully-interactive clickable experiences. We solve the structural and interactive problems and can partner with a visual designer to create a polished prototype as needed.
Collaborative Design
We invite you to participate in our design process through collaborative workshops and frequent check-ins to ensure our visions are all aligned.
User Feedback
We base our design and prototyping decisions on solid user research. We can talk to your users before, during, or after prototyping and will make customer-centric recommendations for how to improve your concept further.

FAQs about Prototyping
What can I prototype?
Literally anything! We’re a creative bunch and can help you figure out the best way to illustrate your new ideas. We’ve prototyped everything from simple web-based interactions to complex car interfaces, complete with mock steering wheel and road hazards.
How and when do you incorporate user research in prototyping?
We’re big advocates of talking to users as often as possible throughout our design and prototyping process. Prototyping gives you something tangible to put in front of users - you can learn directly from them what is valuable and what should be altered.
When should I prototype?
The sooner, the better. It’s always a good idea to test out a new idea to make sure it will work before devoting time, energy, and money to development. Prototyping helps you see what works for users and what doesn’t. A prototype can also be valuable as an illustration of your concept to internal stakeholders, helping others to understand your concept in a very real way.
What tools do you use for prototyping?
We use the right tool for the job, whatever that may be. In the digital space, we use Axure, Invision, and other similar services. If you’re interested in prototyping a physical interaction or service design concept, we’ll choose the best approach to make your vision a reality!
