Case Study: Agile Usability Testing
Home > Clients & Case Studies > Global Religious Denomination
We collaborated with a global religious denomination to bring users into their Agile development process.
The Challenge
Our client, a major Christian denomination with global reach, was seeking early-stage feedback on prototypes of potential design changes to their primary website.
They needed a fast-paced approach to testing to ensure that meaningful changes could be made as quickly as possible, to reflect the needs of its 16 million plus members.
Centralis served as the organization’s strategic partner over this four month engagement.
The Process
Centralis worked closely with the church’s in-house team to craft session plans while also recruiting 128 participants over 16 rounds. Recruiting was managed by both Centralis and the client team.
Centralis moderated sessions remotely via web conference and delivered the results two business days after each round of sessions was completed. Centralis then led a discussion of the findings and recommendations with the entire client team to work quickly towards design solutions.
The Impact
Our efficient testing strategy delivered valuable insights to the organization, allowing for substantial design updates within a short timeline. Armed with feedback from real users and detailed recommendations, adjustments were made to content, layout, navigation, and interactive elements.
The iterative nature of this project allowed our client to continually react to user feedback as the designs evolved.
Our Value
Although the organization had completed in-house research in the past, they found that the Centralis’ outside perspective fostered new and interesting ideas.
The client was particularly impressed with our researchers’ ability to remain neutral with participants, regardless of their feedback.
Our ability to work seamlessly with in-house teams was essential to the success of this project.
in a short amount of time."
