Centralis helps Hewitt Associates benchmark user needs

Hewitt Associates is a global provider of best-in-class human resources consulting and outplacement services. With more than 23,000 associates in 33 countries, Hewitt’s clients include more than half the FORTUNE 500® and more than a third of the FORTUNE Global 500®.

The Challenge

As an industry leader in human resources, Hewitt provides access to whitepapers, survey results and other intellectual capital on its flagship website, Hewitt.com. The site also serves as the primary source for prospective clients to learn about Hewitt’s service offerings. Prior to making enhancements to the site, Hewitt recognized the importance of establishing benchmarks and clearly defining the needs and goals of its diverse user base.

Hewitt engaged Centralis to update the organization’s knowledge about how people use Hewitt.com. Specially, the company sought to understand more about who comes to the site, how frequently, and for what purpose.

Our Work

To profile the user base of Hewitt.com, Centralis created an online survey that captured user input at several points in their interaction with the website. Visitors who volunteered to participate provided quick but insightful information about their roles and immediate goals, as well as their satisfaction with the current website experience.

The Outcome

The survey provided feedback from approximately 4,000 visitors to Hewitt.com. Our analysis of participants’ comments was a key factor in guiding recently launched enhancements to the site. Hewitt continues to work with Centralis to improve its website’s user experience.
